Section 1.1
• Must be 13 Years of Age or Older.
• Must complete and submit the Application Form. The application must have accurate and truthful information.
• All New applicants must have a valid Email Address. Failure to submit a valid Email address will result in your application to be rejected.
• Committed to flying at least (1) flight a month. New pilots who have been issued a "Dispatched Training" flight must complete that flight with-in 2 weeks of being hired. Failure to comply could result in termination.
All candidates must present themselves in a professional manner whether on our Forums, Private Voice Channels or if flying online with VATSIM. Foul, Vulgar or racially charge remarks used will not be tolerated here at the Airline and are grounds for immediate Termination. Pan American Virtual Airlines reserves the right to decline any application from persons known to have such disciplinary problems.
• All Pan American Virtual Pilots must download and register with VAFS4 via www.vafinancials.com.
•Membership with VATSIM is not mandatory at this time. However, the CEO reserves the right to change this at anytime; at which time all pilots will have 30 days to register or be removed from the “Active” roster up to and including being terminated.
• Have strong desire to have fun.

Article 2 - Airline Communications
Section 2.1 E-Mail Requirements
• Each member of Pan American Virtual shall maintain a valid e-mail address
• Each member shall immediately inform the CEO of a change in the member’s e-mail address
Article 3 - Prior VA Experience
Section 3.1 Initial Hours
• All New pilots that are hired are allowed up to 1000 hrs of flight time transfers. You must be able to provide a log via the airline.
• Any pilots returning to the VA will be considered "New" and will start with zero (0) hours regardless of prior logged hours they had before. No exceptions.
All Pilots No matter how many hours they transfer in must complete the Trainee course then all hours will be applied. The Trainee Course will consist of completing a
dispatched flight from their assigned hub.
Article 4 - Maintaining Active Status
Section 4.1 Requirements
Members of Pan American Virtual Airlines shall adhere to the following requirements in order to remain on active status with Pan American Virtual Airlines:
• A minimum of two (1) Pilot Report (PIREP), totaling not less than 30 minutes of flight time, shall be submitted in each calendar month.
• Each member shall maintain a valid e-mail address.
• Each member shall maintain a good disciplinary record with our Online Services and with Pan American Virtual Airlines
• Pilots may not apply for a Leave of Absence in response to being removed from the roster for inactivity.
• Incentive Bonus Hours will be given to all pilots that complete above and beyond the (1) PIREP Monthly Requirement. Bonus Hours shall be awarded as following:
5 filed PIREPs = 5 Bonus Hours
8 filed PIREPs = 10 Bonus Hours
12 filed PIREPs = 15 Bonus Hours
13 and Above filed PIREPs will be awarded double the hours that the pilot has logged on VAFS for that particular month.
Section 4.2 Removal from a Roster
• A member who does not adhere to any one of the requirements in Section 4.1 may be removed from the roster without further notification.
• A staff member may warn pilots of pending action, but are not required to do so. Warnings are a courtesy, not a requirement.
• CEO, DVP, or Hub Manager shall inform pilots of termination from Pan American Virtual Airlines and include a valid reason, which will be approved by the CEO.
• Any Pilot removed from the roster whether by inactivity or conduct will not be allowed back to the VA. No exceptions.
* Although every effort will be made to retain our pilots on our roster; so we don't have a roster full of "In-Active" pilots this policy will be enforced for inactivity that goes beyond 60 days.
Section 6.1 Flight Rules - Airline Division
• All Pilots must fly within the Pan American Virtual Airlines Schedules provided for the flight to count. Exceptions to this rule will be for pre-approved flights when a request has been made to the CEO for approval and only to be used during any Pan American Virtual Airlines Online Events.
• When flying online with any of the online services - i.e. VATSIM, place in the "COMMENTS" field of your Flight Plan section our website address (www.panam-va.com) for advertising purposes. When someone clicks on your ID during an online flight on ServInfo they will see our web address and thus help promote our airline.
• All Pan American Virtual Airlines pilots will use their callsign when flying online. Flight numbers as call signs are NOT allowed.
• All flights will be flown at a Simulation rate of 1x. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• By joining our Virtual-Airline you are accepting the conditions set forth in this document.
Section 6.2 Flight Reporting - Airline Division
• All Pilots Must accept and download VAFS4 via www.vafinancials.com. Emailed Flight reports through FSPassengers or any other software besides the VAFS4 system is
not permitted and no hours will be credited.
• Completed PIREPs must be uploaded via VAFS4 after each flight is completed. A flight that results in less than a 90% pilot rating will be subject for review. At that time the pilot may be required to complete a series of training flights.
• Any flights (PIREP) submitted with a simulation rate higher than that allowed will be removed from the pilots completed roster and will not count. The pilot may also face disciplinary actions, up to and including being removed from the roster.
Article 7 - Leave of Absences (LOA)
• Pilots who foresee that they will be unable to fulfill the obligations of their position, especially for pilots with respect to minimum PIREP requirements shall submit, in writing, an e-mail to the CEO requesting a Leave of Absence (LOA).
• The request for LOA shall include :
(1) Pilot ID
(2) The date on which the pilot wishes the LOA to begin
(3) The date on which the pilot wishes to return.
(4) The reason for the LOA request.
• The maximum amount of days on a standard leave of absence is 60 days. Extensions must be granted by the CEO and handled on a case by case basis. The CEO will email the LOA pilot within the last 5 days of his/her LOA to discuss his/her return date.
• Requests for LOA shall not be approved where the request is for longer than a twelve-month period. In cases where the requested LOA is longer than twelve months, the pilot shall resign from Pan American Virtual Airlines in “good-standing.”
• The CEO will note the pilot’s resignation in “good-standing,” note their flight hours, and shall consider this in future requests for re-employment.
• Pilots who do not submit a PIREP within fourteen (14) days of the end of their LOA, or who have not requested in writing an extension to their LOA (so long as the extension does not exceed 180 days), shall be terminated.
• A pilot on LOA who submits a PIREP during the LOA shall be considered to have returned from LOA from that time forward.
• Pilots may not apply or repeatedly apply for a Leave of Absence in response to warnings concerning removal from the roster for inactivity.
• New pilots with less than 1 month in our VA and no PIREPs logged cannot request a LOA. A required minimum of three (1) PIREP must have been filed first before submitting the request. If the pilot cannot submit the required first three (1) PIREP for the month, his/her membership will be terminated.
